gme is one of the world's largest retailers of video-game hardware and software, with more than 5,000 stores across the globe. on tuesday, market-research firm NPD said that software sales rose 47% in february, which blew wall street's expectations out of the water. hardware sales were also strong, with unit demand rising 19% year over year despite industry-wide shortages of the nintendo wii and microsoft xbox 360 game consoles. also, consumers continue to flock to high-priced games such as atvi's "guitar hero 3," which bodes well for the health of the industry. i'm very bullish on gme.
